WeTheNorth (WTN)
Onion addresses. Every one of them opens the same market.

WeTheNorth (WTN): onion address and mirrors
WeTheNorth, usually called WTN, opened in 2021, which makes it the oldest market in this list. It takes BTC and XMR, serves a Canadian base, and runs in both English and French. Three onion addresses point at the same storefront, and all three sit on the mirror board above. Copy one from the panel instead of retyping it, because the WTN onion address is the entire connection to the market, and one bad character is a different site with a login form that looks right. Check the address before you check anything else.
A market that has been running since 2021 carries a longer history than the rest of the list: more rotations, more vendor churn, more established shipping lanes. The tradeoff is distance. A Canada-based market ships across long routes, so delivery times and tracking behavior are the part of the experience that needs the most attention.
Opening WeTheNorth
Use Tor Browser from the official download page. Copy the address from the panel above with the copy button, paste it into the address bar, and press enter.
A v3 circuit is rebuilt on every load. Allow ten to sixty seconds for the page to appear, and longer when the network is under load. A connection reset during the circuit build is normal for a v3 service. Wait it out, then reload once. If the page has not arrived after a second attempt, the address or the path may be the problem, and the next section covers that.
When it loads, the storefront should be visible at once: categories, search, vendor listings, a login link. A lookalike tends to open on a password form before any product is on screen. If a login page is the first thing you see, you are not on WTN.
What to check when you arrive
Read the address in the bar exactly as you copied it. A v3 onion is 56 characters of base32, letters a to z plus the digits 2 to 7, so there are no zeros and no ones. A different length, or a 0 or a 1 anywhere in the string, means the site in front of you is not the one you intended.
Check the branding. The logo, the layout, the language. WTN runs in English and French, and the language switches in the account settings. If the storefront is showing a language you did not choose, that is a signal to look closer, not to start typing.
Then the fingerprint. WTN posts its PGP fingerprint on the site, typically in the about section or the footer. Compare what you read there to the one in the access panel above: 38e0dcdc 5a052efa a5e249b0 3bae9b24 a3899e7b. A mismatch means the site is not the one that signed the release you are trusting, and the login form on that site belongs to someone else. The full method, with the typosquat traps, is in the verify an onion address guide.
Look for an admin release as well. A current statement from the operators, signed with that same key, is the clearest sign that the address in front of you is the live one. A missing release, or one signed by a different key, is a reason to stop and recheck before you enter a password.
Logging in
Use a separate email address for the market, one that does not appear on any other service. Use a password you have never typed before, generated and stored, not a pattern you might reach for elsewhere.
The login screen should be the market's own page, reached after the storefront has loaded. The only password screen that matters is the market's own login page. If a form showed up before the store, or if the address shifted at the moment the form appeared, close the tab and come back from the panel above.
Register, confirm the account through the market's flow, and only then treat the password as live. A password typed into the wrong site is already known to a stranger, and the fix is a new password, not a hope.
Canada, two languages, longest-running listing
WeTheNorth is the oldest market in this list, opened in 2021. That age shows up in the vendor pool: longer review histories, more completed orders, and shipping lanes that have been tested over years rather than months. For a buyer, a longer-running vendor base means more signal to read before an order, and fewer vendors who are still figuring out the platform.
The market is Canada-based, and the interface runs in both English and French. The language switches in the account settings, so a French storefront and an English one are the same market, the same listings, the same vendors. If the language is not what you expect, change it in settings rather than assuming you have landed on a different site.
The Canada base has a practical effect on delivery. Orders travel long routes, and long routes mean longer shipping windows and more steps between the vendor and the buyer. That changes what to watch. Read the stated delivery time on the listing before you buy, not after. Ask for a tracking code on the order, and check that the code actually moves, because a long route gives a stalled package more room to sit quietly. Prices on long routes also tend to include the shipping cost, so a listing that looks cheap on the front can be a different number once the route is counted. The full set of buying rules is in the safety guide.
If the address does not open
Three equal addresses, and no ranking among them. The one you copied does not open, so take another from the panel. A new circuit takes its full time before it should be judged, and one reload is the limit of patience.
If all three stay dark after a real wait, the address set may have rotated, or your path through the network is the weak link. Wait it out, rebuild the circuit, and try again. The procedure, with the reset behavior explained, is in the access guide.
The longest-running market in the list, and the longest shipping routes in it. Check the string, match the fingerprint, and read the delivery window before the order, not after.
